Chalet Richebourg

Our chalet-based self-guided walking holidays will provide you with a great holiday experience and a really varied and interesting selection of daily walks. Our walks take in the best that the area has to offer and have all been thoroughly researched.

Book a Group Walking Holiday for up to eight people and stay at Chalet Richebourg in the small unspoilt and authentic Alpine Village of Le Biot.

The holiday includes:

Continental breakfast
Walking pack, including local map, route maps
6 full-day walking trails, with detailed route description, time taken and altitudes covered on the walk, as well as our guide to the toughness of the walk – easy, medium or hard, depending upon the amount of ascent/descent and also, the conditions underfoot.
Transport to the start-point of each day’s walk and collection at the end-point. We have made sure that most of the walks finish somewhere where you can relax with a well-deserved beer or coffee.
Afternoon tea with homemade cakes.
Three course evening meal followed by cheese and coffee plus unlimited wine on 6 out of 7 nights.
As the kitchen is closed on one evening every week, our Minibus is available to take you out and also to pick you up (no later than midnight) if you wish.
Transfers to and from Geneva Airport

In winter, the chalet can be booked for skiing and snowboarding holidays for up to 8 people on a catered basis. Our flexibility of booking means you can take advantage of cheap midweek flights to and from Geneva Airport. As well as skiing, this area is increasingly popular for those wishing to snowshoe.

The Chalet is only a 10 minute drive from Morzine, at the centre of the Portes du Soleil, the largest linked skiing area in the world. The village of Le Biot is a 5-minute walk away and has a ski-hire shop, bar/restaurant, post office, tourist information office and bakery.

What is not included:

Flights
Airport transfers to and from Geneva Airport (Euro 100 per minibus journey)
Equipment hire: as soon as is practicable after you arrive, David will take you to our local ski-hire shop to be kitted out.
Ski passes (We can have these ready for you)

Chalet Richebourg is a traditional Savoyard chalet, which has been refurbished and can currently sleep up to 8 people comfortably in 4 rooms, 3 of which are en-suite. Three of the rooms have twin beds, which can be pushed together to form doubles; the fourth room has a king-size double bed.

Courtyard

The chalet is south facing and the enclosed courtyard-style terrace receives the sun’s rays all day.

The chalet has a spacious open plan sitting and dining room, cosy log fire for winter evenings, TV with UK BBC channels, video player and Playstation 2, with plenty of videos, books and games.
