Les Trois Canards is a new modern luxury catered chalet with 5 bedrooms, 3 ensuites and 1 shared bathroom. Located in Petit Chatel it is a short stroll to Chatel centre where the shops and bars are to be found.

The high quality interior decorations and thoughtful furnishings including leather sofas and original artworks will add to your holiday experience.

You can relax with our selection of books & games or maybe the satellite SKY TV, DVD's, CD's & Movies on our large LCD screen home cinema system will be more to your taste.

You'll feel at home in the large living room sat around the log burning stove or admiring the magnificent views over the Abondance valley.

You will enjoy a superb 4 course home cooked evening meal 6 nights of your stay, see our typical catered chalet menu for a taste of what we offer.

There are 5 bedrooms which can be double or twin, accommodating 10 to 12 adults & children. All rooms are of similar size with all but one having their own balcony or terrace.

All rooms are equipped with individually controlled heaters and ventilation.

Quality Egyptian cotton bed linen, large fluffy towels, hand towels, hair dryers and irons are all provided. You'll also love relaxing in the Jacuzzi or on the front sun terrace after a day skiing.

Non-Smoking Ski Chalet

Smoking, including pipes and cigars, is not permitted inside. However we still welcome smokers but ask them to only smoke outside. We are equipped with emergency lighting, smoke detectors and fire extinguishers.

Location Map for Les Trois Canards

Les Trois Canards is along 'Route du Roitet', after passing on the left 'Le Balcon du Alps' take the first right up 'Chemin de la Batarde' finding us on the second corner of the short zigzag road.

Being located slightly higher but only 750 metres (10 minute walk) from the very centre of Chatel. It is a picturesque easy stroll to and from the shops, bars and restaurants along a quiet road.

The main Chatel ski lifts are only a minute or two away in our private minibus, or a further 5 min's drive to Linga or Pré-la-Joux lifts which offer direct links to the Portes du Soleil.

It is also only a couple of minutes walk to/from the bus stop on route G, which takes you direct to the very centre of Chatel on the free resort Chatelbus.

In the Heart of the Portes du Soleil - French Alps

A well-kept secret nestling on the French/Swiss border, Chatel is unspoiled by commercialism has remained true to it's Savoyarde farming village charm. In other words, there are plenty of attractive, rustic looking chalets and hotels, which ooze Gallic charm and cost relatively little to stay in.

Situated at the end of the picturesque and rural Abondance valley and completely surround by the Portes du Soleil it offers some of the best tree lined skiing in the Alps and you are able to ski directly to over a dozen resorts including Avoriaz, Morzine, Les Gets, Morgins and Champery.

The pistes are suited to all levels of skier and rider, but particularly intermediates who enjoy the feeling of 'going somewhere' each day rather than being forced to repeatedly ski the same slopes over and over for the whole holiday.

Chatel boasts many traditional French restaurants, numerous bars many with live music and a good après ski atmosphere, a wide variety of shops offering all your holiday needs, specialty souvenir shops and of course plenty of well equipped ski and alpine sports shops all within walking distance of the chalet.

For those with a plentiful supply of energy there is a traditional bowling alley in the village, an outdoor ice-skating rink at Lac Vonnes, horse-drawn carriage rides, dog-sledding and snow-shoe excursions. At Pré-la-Joux there is a 650m 'bobluge' run and also the 'Fantasticable' ride where hanging beneath a cable you fly 1.2 km across the valley at up to 100 km/hr.

If that doesn't sound appealing just over the border from Chatel in Switzerland are hot springs to relax your aching muscles.

Portes Du Soleil

Chatel and the Portes Du Soleil has a fantastic snow record. Their location between Mont Blanc and Lac Geneva creates an environment which means that the area tends to get significant snowfall from the start of December through to when the lifts close in late April.
