Apartment: Chalet Armorialhttp://www.swiss-apartment.com/ Chalet Armorial occupies a privileged position in the Domaine de la Residence one of the best and most sought after areas of the beautiful Alpine resort of Villars, Switzerland. Fully south facing and only a few steps away from one of the main blue runs into the village, it affords a superb skiing experience, being virtually ski-in ski-out, combined with comfort, tranquillity and stunning views of the Dents du Midi range. Our apartment is on the first floor and comfortably accommodates up to four guests in the two main rooms. A large balcony, provides a wonderful opportunity to soak up the views over a glass of wine or a hot chocolate.

General DescriptionOur apartment is one of only six in Chalet Armorial, imparting a genuine 'Swiss Chalet' feel to the property . We also have an underground garage which is heated and has access to the apartment without having to go outside which is a great advantage when carrying in luggage or shopping. |

The BedroomThe cosy bedroom has wood panelled walls, pine furniture, Alpine prints on the walls and a King Size double bed (which may be made up as two singles if required) ideal for a rejuvenating sleep after an active day on the mountain. |

BathroomThe bathroom is fully tiled and includes a full sized bath for those 'after ski' soaks along with a shower, toilet and washbasin. |

Lounge/DiningThe bright and sunny lounge/diner is well equipped and very cozy on a winters evening. There is an open log fire (logs can be ordered from the local agents) comfortable sofas, one of which converts into a double bed (all bedding and quilts provided). |

KitchenThe kitchen area is well equipped with fridge/Freezer, dishwasher, coffee percolator, toaster, microwave and full size oven and hob. All necessary utensils, plates and cutlery are provided. The kitchen has a nice view from its two windows and also has access to the East balcony via a glazed door. |

BalconyThe lounge French windows lead out to a wonderful 'L' shaped, fully South facing, balcony of fourteen square metres with jaw-dropping views of the mountains. A large table and four comfortable chairs invite relaxation in this stunning location. To enable use of the balcony all year round we have installed a gas fired patio heater creating a warm and cosy environment. |

HeatingThe Chalet/garage and ski store is centrally heated and also includes an open log fire in the lounge for cozy nights indoors. There is no extra charge for central heating but you will need to buy your own firewood if you use the log fire. |

By Car From the airportThe journey is fairly straightforward along the motorway past Lausanne amd Montreux then heading up into the mountains at Aigle through small picturesque mountain villages. We provide detailed driving directions and location details with your booking pack |
By Rail from the airportA reliable and (typically Swiss) punctual rail service is available from the airport to Villars, the fare is approx CHF 85 and you will need to change at Bex for the mountain train. (Some services also require a change at Lausanne). The Journey takes about 2 hours 20 minutes. You will then need to take a taxi to the apartment. Driving To SwitzerlandThe European motorway network makes driving (via the Channel tunnel or ferry ) a real alternative now, some approximate timings are as follows, its about an 8 hour drive from Calais or about 4 hours from Paris. If you bring your own car you will need a vignette to use the motorways (this replaces the toll system) and this can be obtained form the Swiss tourist office in London |
