The Clubhouse

The Clubhouse is a boutique hotel and members' bar which sits inside a magnificent Art Deco mansion built in Chamonix in the Haute Savoie region of the French Alps in 1927. The building has undergone a major €1M refurbishment to create seven ultra modern rooms with accommodation for up to 20 guests, a clubhouse lounge, bar and restaurant; and a treatment suite.

The Clubhouse offers a range of rooms from the sumptuous Myla Suite, with its custom-made, 2.7m bed and double aspect views across the Mont Blanc massif, to the cosy bunkhouse rooms. All rooms feature the best in contemporary design and come with crisp Frette linen, teak-decked 'rainforest' showers, flat screen TVs and DVD players; and breakfast and dinner are included.

The Clubhouse Bar is a sister bar to Milk & Honey in New York and London and has been designed to recreate the warmth and intimacy of the Red Room at Milk & Honey London. Using 'The Milk & Honey Method', drinks at The Clubhouse Bar will be made with only the best ingredients and staffed by some of Europe's most highly trained bartenders.
 

The Rooms

The Clubhouse sleeps up to 20 people in a range of rooms at a variety of prices from €55 pp per night to €195 per night for The Myla Suite. Rather than go for the usual options of either cheap and cheerful or exclusive and dull, all of our guests get great rooms at good prices; from cosy sharing to spacious luxury.

All of our rooms feature the very best of contemporary design and come with crisp Frette linen, powerful teak-decked 'rainforest' showers, flat screen TVs and DVDs; and breakfast and dinner is included.

Residents enjoy temporary membership of The Clubhouse Bar or can elect to become members of The Clubhouse in order to benefit from heavily-subsidised members rates. In most cases, if you are planning to stay for two or more nights, it makes sense to join our membership. We only have seven rooms and over two thousand members so we have a strict 30 day refund policy.

The Restaurant

Dining in the restaurant at The Clubhouse is like eating at home, assuming of course that you live in a giant art deco mansion in the Alps, have exquisite taste, an in-house chef and a team of friendly staff ready to do the washing up.

(Please note, in the summer we are closed on Monday and Tuesday).

A continental style breakfast is served from 8am -10am Thu-Sun and this is free to residents and founder members and 8€ for members.

The bar opens at noon and our daytime menu of specials, light-bites and healthy salads are served until 5pm. Lunching on the terrace at The Clubhouse, sipping a crisp rosé with a Bayonne ham, fig, rocket and parmesan salad, watching the sun slip behind the mountains all afternoon until 5pm is a popular Chamonix past-time! Help-yourself tea and coffee are free all day to residents, members and your guests. Illy coffee is also available all day.

We’ve got a new dinner menu for this summer including a mouth-watering selection of Modern European favourites with bold Asian flavours and some stuff you won’t find elsewhere in the valley. We offer an à la carte menu on Thu, Fri and Sat; and then the rest of the week is like this:

• Sunday is often the busiest night when we fire up our ‘Summer BBQ’ char-grilled and bursting with flavour. For 12€ sit back and wait for the heat to rise and the terrace to fill up. The barbecue menu includes spicy merguez, the finest beef burgers and free-range chicken plus chefs special salads, full of the tastiest seasonal ingredients.
  
   
• On Wednesday we continue the very popular Big Wednesday Big Bowl nights. For only 18€ you can enjoy the weekly special menu such as Thai green curry and coriander rice, pasta primavera or pea and mint risotto – plus a sublime dessert of the week.

À la carte dinner is served in two sittings at 7pm and 9pm. It's always best to book ahead and choose your time whether resident or member.

The Bar

How does this sound? - You’re sitting in the beautiful, candle-lit art deco surroundings of The Clubhouse bar; a large Milk & Honey Red Room-style members-only bar and dining area with a roaring fire place, where they serve classic cocktails, cold beer, delicious wines, great Scotch and rare Armagnac. The fresh powder is a metre deep outside and the awesome Grands Montets beckons . . . . . . but that can wait, I’ve got my drink to finish.
 

The bar at The Clubhouse is a sister bar to Milk & Honey in London and New York. Milk & Honey in London is generally considered to be the best cocktail bar in Britain. It is also Time Out Bar of the Year 2004 and The Observer recently voted it The Best Place in Britain for a Drink.

Apart from the best cocktails you'll ever drink, the bar stocks a small-but-perfectly-formed selection of wines and Champagnes a world away from the usual après-ski offer of a pitcher of frothy Foster's, a glass of too-young-to-be-drunk local plonk or a shot of no-name, nasty vodka.

We are huge fans of Compass Box Whiskies and stock the full range of their innovative and delicious Scotch whiskies. We also have a superb collection of rare and vintage Armagnac including bottles dating back to the 19th century. And we've sourced an unrivalled selection of premium vodkas; the best we could get our hands on including special imports of Charbay and Hangar One from California as well as Zygo, the American energy vodka.
