LOCATION

The villa, situated 16km west of Toulon (45km east of Marseille), is positioned within a beautiful and picturesque Provencal setting in the South East of France.  It is set on a hillside among vineyards (Route des Vins de Bandol), with splendid views over rolling hills and woodlands.  The area is known as the Var and is the gateway to the Cote d’Azur and Haute Provence.  The mixture of beautiful mountaineous and sea landscapes, sunny Mediterranean climate and mediaeval heritage makes this region an exceptional place to visit. 

This traditional style villa is within walking distance of Le plan du Castellet (just under 1km) which has several local shops including a post office, pharmacy, newsagent, café, grocery and Bakery.  More extensive amenities, including shops, banks, restaurants, markets and supermarkets, can be found at Le Beausset  (3km), the fortified mediaeval village of Le Castellet (4km) and Bandol (6km).

Beautiful sandy beaches are situated 10 minutes away by car at St Cyr sur Mer, Bandol and Sanary sur Mer.  For a more adventurous trip, visit the well-known beach resort of St Tropez only 100 km away.  The surrounding area offers an abundance of leisure activities for example horse riding, golf courses (located at Circuit du Castellet and at Frégate near Bandol), sailing, wind surfing, waterskiing, paragliding, fishing, trekking and all within 3km of the Villa.

The villa is set within large, enclosed and well – maintained grounds and as you approach the house you will appreciate peaceful and quiet surroundings.  The large private swimming pool (size 15m x 5.7m; depth 1m – 2.2m) is situated at one end of the enclosed garden, totalling some 3000 sq m, with the private tennis court at the other.  The swimming pool, fitted with underwater lighting and automatic security shutter, is chlorine free as well as being fully automatic and electrolytic operated.  Being chlorine free means no stinging eyes and no irritating skin, simply pristine water.  There are two large terraces: one partially covered for outdoor dining and the other fully covered with a stone-built barbecue and solidly built, tiled table with fixed timber benches to seat up to 15 people.
