Accommodation

Water's Edge is located at The Cays, a small, private development located near a village called The Hermitage on the island of Great Exuma. This newly-constructed water-front villa comfortably accomodates one to six guests.

There are three bedrooms and three full baths. The open floor plan and large living area opens onto a covered, wrap-around porch next to the swimming pool and sandy beach. A fully-equipped kitchen is present for your convenience. The house also features vaulted ceilings, central air conditioning, ceiling fans throughout, and quality furnishings.
We really are located at the "water's edge." Just a few steps from the front door and you are at the calm and clear water. There is a small marina on the property and a dock is also close by. There is a beautiful and meticulously- maintained swimming pool that is shared with the other homes in this small development.

If you want peace and quiet, look no further. Just sitting at the end of the dock at sunset is worth the price alone.


This property also features a fully stocked "honor bar" located at the poolside cabana, outside showers and restroom, and a beautiful white sand beach with palm frond "umbrellas" for when you might need a break from the sun.

Room Features

This island home features an en-suite master bedroom with queen-sized bed, large walk-in closet, and full bath. The master suite opens through French doors to the beach-side covered porch. All linens are, of course, provided.


The second bedroom has twin beds and a large closet; a full bathroom is adjacent.

The third en-suite bedroom has a queen-sized bed, walk-in closet, and its own full bathroom.


The open floor plan features a well-equipped kitchen with a bar area and dining area opening onto the Living Room. Telephone service is included and provides you with unlimited local calling. Other calls may be conveniently made with the purchase of an international calling card. Calling cards can be easily obtained at many stores on the island.

A television with Direct TV satellite programming, which includes several premium movie channels including HBO and Showtime, VCR player and DVD player are all located in the living room entertainment center.

Wireless internet connection (WiFi) is available at the beachside cabana, which is just steps away. So you can sit at the beach, have a cold drink and check your e-mail while the sun is setting over the water.

Location

We are located on the west (sunset!) side of the island, just 5 miles from the airport and 4 miles from George Town.


Transportation to and from the airport is reliable and easy. Taxis are conveniently obtained outside customs and immigration.

If you desire the use of a rental car, please enquire, as we may be able to provide you with a reliable car at a discounted rate. Otherwise, some rental car companies are located at the airport. Airport rental cars sometimes cost just a little bit more than renting a car from a company in George Town, but you won't have the cost of transporting yourself to George Town.
