The cottage is situated 25 km from Hämeenlinna in a peaceful area on the shores of lake Jänisjärvi, in Tuulos. The distance to the beach is only 20 m, it has it’s own jetty and the lake is shallow. The log built cottage (1989) has two floors, open porch downstairs and balcony upstairs. Downstairs there is a sitting room with a sofa bed for two, kitchen, sauna and washroom with shower and toilet. Upstairs there is a double bed and sofa bed for two. Total floor space of cabin 66 m² excluding the porch, which allows separate access to the sauna. We appreciate no smoking inside. If you don’t find a dog sitter for your stay you can take your pet with you if you remember to consider the wild animals and neighbours and only keep your pet downstairs.

Electric heating and lighting, hot and cold running water, shower. Electric stove with oven, kitchen fan, microwave oven, refrigerator, freezer, toaster, heat storing fireplace, TV, radio/cassette/CD player, video recorder, hair dryer, outdoor electricity point for the car, barbeque, charcoal grill, fishing equipment, rowing boat, canoe and two bicycles.

Helsinki 125 km, Lahti 65 km, Tampere 90 km, Hämeenlinna railway station 25 km, bus stop 5 km, shop 10 km (Tuulos), restaurant 10 km. Nearest neighbour 20 m. Car parking in the yard.

Jogging tracks, volleyball court, Evo Recreational Area 25 km. Riding stables 4 km. Good fishing grounds, cross country ski tracks crossing the lake, Kapakanmäki open-air dances on Fridays in the summer, Golf 22 km, Downhill skiing at Sappee 50 km, Kalpalinna 40 km and Messilä 55 km.

In springtime you are able to enjoy the lovely inland views on hiking or biking tours.

In summer you can go swimming, fishing, rowing the boat or paddling the canoe, but also play volleyball and enjoy cooking outside. On Fridays it is good to only relax so that you will be in good condition for the nights outside dancing at Kapakanmäki

Autumn has good opportunities for berry and mushroom picking. When winter comes you can try the ice fishing or the sled down the hill, or why not the former Finlandia cross-country ski tracks that cross the lake. From the sauna you can run straight into the hole in the ice.
