Welcome to Chalet Kammleitn

Welcome to Chalet Kammleitn, at the foot of Nassfelds' slopes. Our chalet is just 3 minutes from The Millenium Express, the gondola with the largest lift line of the entire Austrian Alps, transporting you to an altitude of over 2000 metres in only 17 minutes.

Debbie and Spencer own and run this traditional style chalet, and guarantee their guests, a warm welcome. We are both avid snowboarders, skiers and mountain bikers, and it was our passion for the mountains, that has brought us to Nassfeld. Over the years, we have visited many ski and mountain biking areas, including Austria, France, Greece and Italy. Nassfeld has an excellent record for both snow and sunshine, and offers a vast amount of skiing and boarding, for people of all abilities and levels.

Having explored Nassfeld both on boards and on bikes, we are more than happy to pass on any advice and information to our guests, ensuring you of a fantastic holiday in our Austrian Alps.

Because Chalet Kammleitn is just off the 111 road, you have easy access to all these activities, and only a 5 minute drive from the beautiful town of Hermagor, where you will find banks, post office, supermarkets, shops, restaurants and bars. 

Chalet Kammleitn has been newly renovated, and offers our guests a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. All bedrooms are equipped with en-suite facilities. We have a selection of twin, triple and quad rooms, most with balcony and having the fantastic views of the Italian Carnic Alps, and the Nassfeld slopes. 

Our facilities include an honesty bar, a recreational room, large, spacious dining room, with separate seated area with large flat-screened TV and DVD player, and a ski room for all your sports equipment. 

Prices are based on Chalet Board – breakfast and afternoon tea every day, evening meal and wine 6 times per week. Chef’s night off is Wednesday, so why not try out some of the excellent restaurants in Hermagor or Tropolach, and if your not too exhausted from the days activities, head off back to Nassfeld for Europes longest flood lit night ski piste.

The buffet breakfast is typically Austrian, with a selection of cereals, yoghurts, local cold meats, cheese and fresh bread, fruit juice and coffee or tea. 

Between 4pm and 6pm, we will serve complimentary tea, coffee or hot chocolate, together with daily fresh homemade cake.

In the evening, we offer soup, a buffet salad, a main course and a dessert, along with a free glass of wine, or fruit juice. Both breakfast and evening meals are served in our spacious dining room. Vegetarians are also catered for; please advise at time of booking. 

Both non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks are available throughout the day at reasonable prices. 

There is a choice of nightlife either in Hermagor, or in Tropolach and every Friday night after dinner, we will provide transport for our guests, to Tropolach, if pre-booked. (Return is at guests own arrangement and expense)
