Zell Am See is located within the Hohe Tauern National Park Region, the jewel of Austria's natural landscapes with some of the most spectacular views in Europe. Set in a picturesque location between the lake (the Zeller See) and the riged slopes of Schmittenhohe, Zell Am See is one of the region's most popular holiday destinations. The resort offers something for everyone all year round, with hiking, mountain biking, golfing and sightseeing in the summer and skiing and boarding in the winter.

This luxury duplex apartment is situated in an excellent location on the Schmittenstrasse just 100m from the Schmittenhohe ski lift and less than 10 minutes walk to the town centre and lake, providing an ideal base for the ski pistes and resort venues.

Our apartment is just an 8 minute downhill walk to the town centre and City Xpress ski lift. The ski bus stop is opposite the building and buses run throughout the day during the ski season.

Positioned on the second and third floor of a traditional Austrian chalet; the apartment enjoys fantastic views of both the Schmittenhohe and the lake providing the perfect setting for your holiday.

Having a floor area of more that 120m2, the apartment is extremely spacious with well proportioned rooms and contains all the modern facilities such as central heating and sky television.

The apartment has secure parking to the front and extensive storage facilities including a basement for skis and wet clothes.

The apartment comfortably sleeps up to nine people with two double bedrooms, a family room (with a double and single bed) and a double sofa bed situated in the lounge. Each bedroom is tastefully decorated, with maple wood flooring, built in wardrobes and full height French windows which open onto the balcony areas.

The apartment has two bathrooms, as well as two separate toilets, and also boasts a sauna off the master bedroom adding that extra luxury after a hard day on the piste.

The newly fitted kitchen is well equipped with high quality appliances including an oven, microwave, dishwasher and fridge freezer.

Ample space for relaxing or entertaining is provided by the expansive lounge and dining room, which opens onto the large front balcony providing excellent views of the Schmittenhohe mountain and ski lifts.

Despite the apartment’s excellent location and high specification, the rental prices are very competitive, especially for groups or families of four or more.

Summer sightseeing and winter sports alike, Austria offers a year-round destination and when to go depends upon what you want to do or see. Winter sports are in full swing from mid-December to late March with the warmer weather usually between April and October. Zell am See is located in the Hohe Tauern National Park and is situated just one hours drive from Salzburg, ensuring there are plenty of nearby towns and villages to explore and offering something for everyone.

The most popular places to visit include the Grossglockner (the highest peak in Austria), the Kitzsteinhorn glacier and Krimmel Falls (the largest waterfall in Austria).

At 3,798m the Grossglockner is not only the highest mountain in Austria, it also counts among the highest peaks in the Alps. The mnountain is one of the "must do" climbs for mountaineers and anyone with a little experience can climb the mountain via the "ordinary route". Other attractions also include the high Alpine road which offers ome of the most spectacular views.
